Collection: Alocasia Collection

Alocasia is a genus of broad-leaved, tuberous, perennial plants from the Araceae family, native to tropical and subtropical Asia and Eastern Australia. They’re popular both as outdoor tropical ornamentals and as houseplants due to their striking, dramatic foliage.

Growth Habit: Upright, architectural form; some species can reach several feet tall. Light: Bright, indirect light. Direct sun can scorch the leaves. Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Sensitive to overwatering. Humidity: High humidity is essential—thrives in a steamy, tropical environment. Temperature: Prefers warm 18–29°C. They do not tolerate cold well. Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested (contains calcium oxalate crystals).
