Collection: Monstera Collection

Monstera is one of the most iconic and beloved tropical houseplants, famous for its bold, fenestrated (split or holey) leaves and jungle vibe. It's often called the Swiss cheese plant, and it’s both easy to care for and highly decorative.

Family: Araceae (same as Philodendron, Alocasia, Syngonium). Native to: Central and South America. Light: Bright, indirect light; can tolerate some shade. Avoid strong direct sun. Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Reduce watering in winter. Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Soil: Chunky, well-draining mix (potting mix + perlite + orchid bark). Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans (contains calcium oxalate crystals) Support: Likes to climbβ€”use a moss pole for big leaves and a natural look.Β

Added Tips: Fertilise monthly in Spring and Summer with a balanced or foliage fertiliser. Prine leggy vines to shape or encourage branching. Repot every 1-2 years or when roots outgrow the pot. Propagating is easy with stem cutting below a node with a root. Ensure the cutting implement in sharp and sanitised to avoid rot. Place the cutting in water or moist sphagnum moss, root development should start to occur within 2-4 weeks.
